Every day, I wake up and hope this is the day I become a Type A person overnight. It has yet to happen, but with careful planning and determination, I can be Type A enough to help you craft the perfect day of timeline for your wedding! Here are some of my tips:
1.
15 Minutes Between Everything
Some activities will be faster than others. Just bake in 15 minutes between each activity. This also gives people time to go to the bathroom, solve problems (like the bride forgetting her bouquet at her mom and dad's house! @me), drink some water and take a breath!
2.
Family Shot List
When doing family photos, having a list of the people you want makes life so much easier for everyone! be sure to list them out and cluster them like:
"Brides Family:
Bride, groom, mother of bride, father of bride
Bride, groom, MOB, FOB, grandmother of bride, grandfather of bride
Bride, groom, grandmother of bride, grandfather of bride"
That way your photographer can cross these off the list, and you won't have to worry about making sure you thought of everyone!
Extra note: If you have a loved one who has a situation your photographer should know about, please make a note. For example, I have a grandparent with dementia, so we put photos with her first on the list so she could have extra time to get to the reception and settled in.
3.
Share the finalized timeline with all vendors!
When everyone knows the plan, it will be easy for all of us vendors to work together to keep your day running smoothly.
