Backstory

I didn't have a videographer at my wedding. I knew my photographer was going to do a phenomenal job capturing the day. I had a Catholic wedding, so I basically get to relive my wedding day every Sunday! Despite being a videographer myself, I wanted to keep to a budget, and it was something I was willing to leave out.

That being said, I did set up my camera on a tripod for the first dances, and the way I treasure that video is what brings me here today.

I thought I had lost all the footage from the first dances. I couldn't find the memory card I had used for the day, and despite being good at backing up my clients' wedding days, I failed to do it with my own wedding content! My stomach fell to the feet, my palms got sweaty as I thought about how I lost mine and Hayden's, mine and my dad's, and Hayden and his mom's dances. Fortunately, I found my card! I definitely backed it up in my hard drives immediately, and enjoyed rewatching those amazing moments from my day. But it got me thinking: "wow. I almost didn't have this. "

Another set of eyes on the day

Your videographer will probably see your day different than your photographer. With two sets of eyes and perspectives, you are bound to get a bigger picture of your day to look back on fondly!

Already Have a vision?

Make a game plan with your videographer! Tell them if you have a vision or if you want to avoid something with your video. If you want real candid shots focusing in on the fun of the day, let them know! We are happy to make your video what you want.

Alternatively, if you want the key parts and not so much the process of the day, you can ask a local videographer if they'd do an a la carte option for your wedding video. This may be opting for a much smaller package and just getting your first kiss, first dances, the speeches, moments with your loved ones. We want to get the shots that will mean the most to you and we can definitely most anything happen!

So, before you write off hiring a videographer, maybe talk with one. Maybe create a little different game plan. Above all, do things the way you want for your wedding day!
